Yeah, I pulled an all-nighter…were you surprised, considering I got up at 4pm yesterday? Well, anyway, I’ll put a few things up here to tie up some loose ends:
- I’m thinking about doing this to the blog titles in the future. Oddly enough, the guy that made this kick-ass plugin was born on the same day I was! I found his site (above) while looking for a way to collapse the ever-growing sidebar on the right. It seems nice for it to be in Flash, but I think 1.) having the sidebar and titles in Flash is overkill, and 2.) it would be too Flashy (sorry, I had to do it!).
- The smaller posts you’ll see from time to time are called Quickie Posts, originally called Asides, which came up as I was configuring Tarski (the theme currently on here, albeit modded). The Asides link lead to a guy’s blog explaining how it was done originally. I also saw a blog post on his site talking about yellow $10 bills. That’s our wacky president for ya! Looking at the way he did Asides on his site was the inspiration for Quickie Posts, or Asides, on this site.
- While I was working on the blog this morning, old episodes of the Chuck Norris and Mr. T cartoons came on [adult swim]. That reminded me of something: one time, at NJIT, when my suitemate Jimmy and I were up late, I looked over at the TV and saw just who I heard: Mr. T, but animated! I was like, “OMG! Jimmy! C’mere!” Of course, these cartoons were made before my time. There’s nothing like seeing Mr. T whirl a crocodile (scroll to the bottom) around, punch a shark (3/4ths down) and send it flying, or seeing a dog (a little bit less than halfway down) chew through an arcade machine. Absolutely hilarious! The site that reviews this movie is SO funny! I recommend everyone read it. The captions under the pictures alone are worth a visit.
- Speaking of Chuck Norris, my teacher for Game Architecture sent us something after our semester was almost over: Batman vs. Chuck Norris. One word: LOL!
- You’ll notice that the sidebar now has the following items:
- Notifications of when Cam and I are on AIM.
(For those interested in how I got 2 online indicators up, I just renamed all the functions in the plugin, along with all the paths, the actual plugin name, and the folder to make the site think that the plugin was distinct from the original. Easy enough. I wish the author had made it easier to have more than one. Oh well, I got it done.) - How many people (or things, such as bots) are tracking my RSS feed.
- A translation section, since, after all, this is the World Wide Web, and not everyone in the world speaks English.
- Notifications of when Cam and I are on AIM.
