As some people have said on the Nintendo Forums, it indeed feels like New Year’s Eve. Just an hour and a half past midnight here in the EST time zone, and over 17,000 Wiis have been sold!

Tonight’s episode of South Park featured the Wii! Cartman wanted to freeze himself for 3 weeks to help the time go by faster, but he ended up freezing himself for more than 500 years! Now, he is in the midst of a religious war in the future that must be fought if he is to ever get his chance to play the Wii. The episode is on tomorrow night (Thurs.) @ 10 PM EST as an encore. What will happen?! Wii’ll just have to wait and see next week Wed. @ 10 PM EST!
Having that episode of South Park doesn’t help the counter go down faster damnit!
GeoVector has the right idea of what I want in a system to aide me in everyday travel. It’s a shame that it’s only in Japan right now, and I’m sure that thing sucks up battery life like no one’s business, especially since it’s on a cell phone. If only there was some way I could use my Nintendo DS as a 3D GPS device…hmmm….
