I found a tiny, standalone ISO burning program that can burn ISO images to CD as well as DVD, and a bunch of other CD/DVD formats. Best of all, it’s FREE and it has command line options to work with scripting programs! Check out Active ISO Burner. Download the middle link. That’s just the exe, and that’s all you need. Here’s the info on the command line options. Major kudos to the author.

They’re working on getting rid of all the bloatware that comes on their PCs. Good! I remember spending 2 hours just to get rid of any extra programs/old versions of software that come on their PCs.
My goal yesterday was to convert my wireless network from WEP to WPA2. Geeky I know, but I found a very valuable tool in the process. Since I already have one D-Link DGL-4300 setup for my house as WPA2, I figured it’s time to convert the one I use for school/shore use to WPA2 as well. In the process of updating drivers, etc., I started using Intel’s wireless utility, instead of relying on Windows to connect to networks, as Windows’ built-in utility doesn’t support WPA or WPA2. So, I installed the Intel PROSet software and everything was good. I was able to setup my WPA2 network with no issues, except one: WEP keys!
I setup a WEP network for my friend at his house, and I don’t have his WEP key memorized (I don’t memorize those things…how can you? If you come up with an easy way, tell me!). This left me with two options: ask his Dad to input the router password again so I can painstakingly type the WEP key into the Intel PROSet utility, or find it in the registry somehow. A little poking on Google revealed a free program that does just that! It finds WEP keys that are stored in the Windows registry when you use Windows’ built-in wireless support. The author’s website even states that it works on Vista. Good to know!
See here. They’re basically allowing free calls from PC-to-landlines, or PC-to-cell phones for the whole day. Sweet!
